Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates performed on a machine called a Reformer. It uses springs, straps, and a moving carriage to create resistance, helping improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance with low impact on the joints.
Do I need any experience to try Reformer Pilates?
Not at all! Our classes are suitable for all levels, including beginners. We recommend starting with an absolute beginners class if you've never used a reformer before, and a beginners class if you’re new, so you can learn proper form and technique.
What should I wear to a class?
Wear something comfortable, that you can move easily in (such as activewear i.e. leggings and a top) and help instructors check your alignment. For hygiene and safety, we require grip socks to be worn, which are available for purchase at the studio if needed.
How is Reformer Pilates different to Mat Pilates?
Reformer Pilates uses a machine to add resistance and support, offering a wider range of exercises and intensity options. It’s great for those wanting more challenge, deeper muscle engagement, or additional support during movements.
Can Reformer Pilates help with back pain or injuries?
Yes – Reformer Pilates is often used in rehabilitation. Our instructors are trained to offer modifications and work with your body. If you have an injury or chronic pain, please inform us before class or speak with your healthcare provider first.
How often should I do Reformer Pilates to see results?
We recommend practicing 2–3 times a week for noticeable strength, flexibility, and posture improvements. Consistency is key, and you’ll likely feel better after just a few sessions!
How do I book a class?
You can easily book a class through our online booking system, available on our website and the ClassFit app. Just choose your preferred class time, sign up, and you're good to go!
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 12 hours’ notice for class cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a class being deducted from your pass or a fee, depending on your membership type.
